Our story

Car humour that hits different.

We started Defect Dept. because car people have their own language. A normal person sees an MOT failure. We see a personality trait, a financial warning and probably another project we definitely should not buy.

Our designs are inspired by the world of MOTs, garages, project cars, dodgy noises, rusty subframes and the classic excuses every enthusiast has used at least once.

Whether your car passed first time, failed on rust, or came back with a list longer than the V5, we make clothing that car people actually get.
