Everything at Defect Dept. is printed to order. That means your item is made fresh after you order, rather than pulled from a dusty shelf.
Delivery times can vary depending on the product, print supplier and demand at the time of ordering.

Once your order is placed, it is sent to one of our print partners for production. This helps reduce waste and means every item is made fresh for you.
T-shirts
Most T-shirt orders are usually produced and dispatched within around 3–5 working days, but this can vary depending on the supplier and order volume.
Hoodies & other items
Some products, especially hoodies, accessories, mugs or supplier-specific items, may take longer. In some cases, production and delivery may take around 1–2 weeks.
Multiple items
If you order different product types, they may be produced by different suppliers and could arrive separately. This is normal with print-on-demand fulfilment.
What happens after you order?
Order received
Your order is confirmed and sent to our print-on-demand fulfilment system.
Production starts
Your item is printed, packed and prepared by the relevant supplier.
Dispatched
Once your item leaves production, you’ll receive any available tracking or delivery updates.
Delivered
Your order arrives ready to wear, gift, or use to justify another poor financial decision.

Why does shipping take a few days?
Your product is not sitting ready-made in a warehouse. It is printed after you order, then packed and dispatched by the supplier.
Will everything arrive together?
Not always. If your order contains different product types, they may be made by different suppliers and arrive separately.
Can I change my shipping address?
Contact us as soon as possible. Once the order has gone into production or dispatch, we may not be able to change the address.
My order is taking longer than expected.
Print-on-demand timings can vary, especially during busy periods. If it seems unusually delayed, contact us and we’ll check what’s going on.
